D Rock 45
Hey just been validated to a new member just like to say thanks all I am getting new forks for christmas echo urbans an head set fs pig and after christmas hopefuly a new onza blade 2010 frame. Ive have riden a onza blade with normals parts no upgrades to it which helped decide on getting the frame. I could do with a bit of help on getting a stem an riser bars though. knowing my height helps with finding out the geometry from what ive read on other threads am 5 ' 11" if it does help to know Thanks Dieter Geometry for the title Edited December 8, 2010 by D Rock
chris4stars
as far as im aware.....in general, when 'geometry' is spoken about, it is only refering to the angles/lengths of the frame (and forks). your height or bar/stem set up doesnt change this, but will of course have quite an influence on how the bike feels if the original blade felt good, then id recommend trying to buy parts that would be similar. one of the guys from tarty or here should be able to tell you the angles of the original stem. at least then youre starting with an all-round setup, giving you time to ride for a while and figure out if you fancy something a little longer/shorter or steeper/slacker bar wise, trialtechs seem to often go down well, as do some viz bars...theres various topics dotted about that could help your decision on that matter
D Rock 45
Thanks chris Am riding a onza pro 2009 . finding the stem abit to angled an not liking the flat bars anymore . i was going to get a onza stem forged an the onza rip riser bars or mc pudgy riser bars, i picked them because i have riden the new onza blade trail bike and liked the set up of it all.
