Ive used the square8 on the back and pinched within 20 mins, Im currently running a 2.4 rubber queen and its not too bad. Grip is pretty good (although reputedly not as good as the rain king or der kaiser) and Ive only pinched once with it (running a standard 26" tube), I dont however try to bash into walls and dont go all that big. My main problem with it is that in order to be stable I need it to be over 20psi which can affect grip quite a lot, I also run a fairly narrow rim (dx32 = 38mm) which probably doesnt help with tyre stability. The sidewalls are really quite thin and Ive got a split about an inch long on one so looking to try out either a DK or RK, I would also look at the trials queen, its based on the 2.2 RQ but with apex sidewall inserts (as per the RQ) and softer compound (as per the DK/RK), a very light tyre aswell but its swings and round abouts - light = unstable :)

I've got a RQ 2.2 as a back tyre as the 2.4 was too big for the frame and need too much pressure to stop it folding over. I like the 2.2 as it's very grippy and lighter than the specialized I had on before. I think there are better tyres out there for a modern trials bike though.

I'm a big fan of the Trial Queen for an all round tyre and would recommend it. It's by far the grippiest thing I've ever used. Pinch protection's pretty average for an 850g tyre, but much better than the Rubber Queen.

Pair that up with a 650g Trial King on the front and you're laughing. Conti have done very well!

Seeing as the rears are all sold out, does anyone know if there's word of a production batch coming along soonish?

2.3 barons would be great idea for trials use, lets hope there are not going to be like rubber queen! Is the Kaiser chilli compound lighter than standart - I am hoping so!

These are already out already, Mountain king MK2 2.2 protection in black chilli sounds amazing on the front not like the joke they had before!

Just want to see what the experts(the tarts!) say!
