N.Wood
Interesting, some good features. On the site the question is asked about the similarity to the Rockman bar - Adam says they are the same. IS this right? The rockman still has the 3K weave as opposed to this single direction weave, and the weights are different?
AdamR28
They WERE the same, now they are different. Cheers for the heads up
Mark W
That was related to the older bar, we just over-wrote the product. The weights are different because Rockman made them slightly different lengths, so although they were the same bar fundamentally they tweaked them slightly... EDIT: Snaaaaked... Anyway, new 4-bolt Try-All Forxx ahoy. - Axle to Crown length: 405mm - Axle Offset: 30mm - Steerer tube length: 220mm Weight: 770g

davey1991
Weld cures everything. The frames and pretty much all the other parts look exceptionally well finished, but then again for the price they bloody well should be.

I've got to say for the price, especially compared to last year they're really good value for money.
ogre
does all that weld on the forks brake mount reallly acheive something?

Yer but that's very much the point, compared to their prices. compared to everyone else they're still expensive. I do agree though, the quality does look worth the money. Doesn't come with a rear hub or a rim, so that's more than the 90 quid difference between that and the Koxx. I don't see Rockman having the same background, level of riders and testing involved; no offence Bigman and Ben Savage, but you aren't Vincent, Gilles, Benito, Diaz etc. and I don't see countless world cup podiums being won on a Rockman either. I think Koxx are expensive premium products, but I also think they can justify it. Edited January 27, 2011 by craigjames
Mr Rankin
Koxx Sky 2 mod = <3 yes please santa
forteh
does all that weld on the forks brake mount reallly acheive something? I think its so it transfers the stress raiser from the top maggie mount up to the crown, stop cracks propogating around the circumference of the tube. Alot of time and effort is going into these frames, the finish and quality of them is beautiful, disk mount on the mod looks substantial
Mark W
The Sky 2 bikes are pretty nice too, although you may need a step ladder to get on the mod with that BB height Sky 2 20": Geometry: Wheelbase: 1000mm Chainstay Length: 350mm BB Rise: +90mm Head angle: 71° Reach (from centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube): 585mm Weight: 8.36kg including pedals. Sky 2 26": Geometry: Wheelbase: 1090mm Chainstay Length: 380mm BB Rise: +72mm Head angle: 72° Reach (from centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube): 660mm Weight: 8.90kg including pedals

AdamR28
On the rear of the 20"? Its a Mono V2 (Mono lever, V2 caliper with 24mm phenolic pistons).
craigjames
On the rear of the 20"? Its a Mono V2. Ah right, I just saw that after I check your site. I was wondering what brake Koxx were going to use on the rear now they've moved to post mount, they do have the same piston sizes don't they? So no issues with power. Mark W
I have a feeling they're 24mm instead of 25mm, but should be pretty similar.
Dan6061
Any specific reason why they're now using post mount?
Mark W
Hope were talking about making the 'new' Mono Trial brakes post mount only so I guess they decided to make their new frames 'futureproof', so to speak. I hate that word.

davey1991
Both the Mod and Stock really do look nice, clean and simple. But the BB rise on the mod is a little large, step ladder please.
