Ben Mortimer
I have i koxx giacomo coustellier v1 with a eno freewheel on it. It keeps on randomly click really loudly, almost like a cracking crunching sound. But i want a new freewheel any advice on which one. I want it to be as loud as possible and good engagement points. I like the rockman 108 because of the high amount of engagement points 108 and it also has 9 pwals so it will be strong. But any suggestions are welcome. ogre
open it up, clean it out, re oil it, close it, see if its ok then?
monkeyseemonkeydo
Eno's are fully servicable so you may as well open it up and see what the problem is first. Sounds like you might have a broken spring or damaged bearing or something. All replacement parts are available though so investigate first. Rusevelt
Deffo the shell which holds the bearings has retired/cracked.

JT!
Seems that the Echo SL is the way to go these days.
Nick Manning
Seems that the Echo SL is the way to go these days. I second that. I've had many freewheels over the years. But the best ones I had were: White Industries Eno- Pros Sealed bearings - Cons Lock ring doesn't have enough threads and loosens regularly, tabs to remove freewheel are poor and damage easily. Tryall 108.9 - I can't say I ever had a problem with this freewheel, however I know loads of people did, they seemed to skip a lot. Echo SL- I'm running this currently and had no problems. I specifically like the splines for removing the freewheel, well thought out. Seems to be a popular freewheel at the moment with very few problems heard of.
