Dwarf Shortage
www.tartybikes.com Watch videos, keep trying new stuff, and pushing yourself. The "I WILL DO *insert presently impossible move here* ONE DAY!" factor will probably be enough.

Jon Alty
To be honest if building your first bike then alot of the bits can be picked up on here second hand for a great deal cheaper than brand new, and in fairly decent condition. As a begginer your going to fall off alot and scratch most of your parts, so buying already scratched parts, which are still in good mechanical condition, is going to save you quite a bit of money, and hopefully then you wont be so scared to try new things, as you dont need to worry about scratching your bran new parts . Tarty are allways good for brand new parts though. Price match etc. Edited December 2, 2010 by Jon Alty
jamesbernatchez
Just finished my first bike build (few threads down). The headset and bottom bracket was pressed already and the wheels were built, but I did everything else. It wasn't hard. Just take your time. For inspiration watch videos on youtube, pick up some dvds, join forums , etc. I find talking about it, reading about it, and seeing it makes me want to do it. I purchased all my stuff from CBTrials. Chris was very helpful and knew his stuff. I also have an order from Webcyclery on it's way to me.
