Hi guys

I've just lost use of my laptop. I got a warning saying it was cained with worms when I went to a shop website, some weird screen came up with all the aspects of the computer c-drive, recovery space etc, removable memory device etc. I've seen the screen before when I press the computer screen, it was the same but in a less fancy way, a bit more nimbus like than windows, I ran a security scan and it showed nothing. Worked fine all last night. Shut it down then the mrs started up this morning, or not, it powered up but didn't do anything. I kept pressing the trusted ctrl alt del combo and some how managed to start it in sae mode, backed up my photos and music, wifey then did a few bits, told her to reset it and now its dead as a doe doe, powers up but nothing at all appears on screen

Can anyone sugest anythng before I get my pants pulled down by PC world?

Thanks

Kevin

To be honest, you're better off just wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the Operating System. Take it to PC World and they'll do the same thing with a big price tag.

If you purchased your laptop through retail you'll hopefully have a recovery disc which you can use to reinstall the OS.
