First of all welcome to the forum!

I can't really help you with your question as I ride mod and that's all I know.

However, are you a student at Sheff uni? or sheff college or something? Because i'm a fresher at Hallam and living in Sheff now, so I'd always be up for a ride if you fancy it sometime. Even if you don't have a bike yet it's always good to meet new riders n that :)

Dan

Gave you a validation vote too.

im lukin for a new hobby and this stood out for me so thinking of getting myself a bike and hitting the streets soon as.

Good to see another Hallamer :shifty:

Yeah a stock is definitely the way forward for you then. I reckon if you get validated, you'll be able to pick up a bargain in the for sale thread section for £300 easily.

Best tips to get validated quickly is to have good grammar and spelling, you'll be validated in no time :D

The distance from the bottom bracket to the bars has pretty much no difference between mod and stock. I'm 6ft+ and had no problems on a mod.

Yet again with trials, it's personal preference.

You'll get better faster on a mod, but if you ride stock you'll gain alot more from it over time.

cheers for the advice .. much appreciated
