I was giving you a medal for such a riveting and innovative reply. It might be a minor saving, but pennies make pounds, and pounds make more pounds. Dan Clark
There's a lot of unnecessary hate in this thread, the guy found a cheaper place to get you all tyres and parts, why is this a problem?
Ali C
the problem is Rock'n Roll Cycles sell Onza bikes and parts cheaper than other shops are allowed to. I could go into more details and might do when I can be bothered

Thanks for that, will know where to go when i'm in need of a new front tyre!

Jamie_Trials
Not getting you, so your saying your post was pointless. Have a redbull and explain, I'm interested
Ali C
ok, say when you buy a product from the importers, they set a rrp (recommended retail price). Some places allow you to go lower, but if you do it eats into your profit margins. With Onza bikes/parts I believe they are quite strict with you not going under the rrp so its fair for every shop. Rock'n Roll cycles are repeatedly selling parts at under the rrp to get more customers and f**king over other shops. Well, some shops try to go lower than they do, which ends up making other shops that stick to the rules look expensive (or get a slap at any hint of lowering the prices themselves). monkeyseemonkeydo
Out of interest, when something like that happens where do you stand with the likes of price matches? Are you able to go below the RRP to match another retailers price?
Ali C
well I can't speak for the shop as I have not been there for a good while now, but most other shops do not have the level of service somewhere like Tartybikes has so we (they) try and make it clear exactly what they are getting if they pay retail price. No other shop sets the bike up for the customer before sending the bike out as far as I am aware. Some people have no idea about how to set bikes up so getting what's basically just some bits in a box doesn't help out people who are new to trials, whereas getting a bike set up to the highest standard does.
