dirt jumper jake
Yo basically i want new bars because as it is my front end is a bit low, i cant put stackers on as the steerer is too short and my stem is new so im not buying another. ive narrowed it down to two bars now, but need other opinions on who have used them, which are better for stock, rockman carbon bars or trialtech high rise? cheers. Mark W
They're both pretty nice, but purely 'cos I don't really like the idea of 14° of upsweep I'd go for the Trialtechs. They're a bit wider too which is handy for stock. Also saves you £70 (assuming you go new rather than 2nd hand), which is a bonus
dirt jumper jake
14° of upsweep Christ didnt realise there that much! are the high rise just like the normal tt ones, but higher?
Dan Clark
After my Mono Trial my Trialtech High Risers are my favourite part on my bike, and for a bar of metal that doesn't do much that's a high accolade.

aener
Just incase anyone who has them looks in here, what's the 14deg upsweep of the Rockman bars like? I can't even THINK of buying any, but I quite like the sound of it. I really hate 6/8deg sweep bars, so I have Montys, which are 12x11 tilted forward so the backsweep looks vertical from the side. The idea of even more sweep excites me, just wondering what anyone makes of them.
aener
Got a spare set of bars? Get Josh to chuck them in a tube bender at work and add a little sweep Try it and see how it feels. That's a point. He was always on about the bender they had not being very precise, but the bends on his frames tubes look pretty even. Will ask him. Excellent idea! dirt jumper jake
Bars in vice + bit of tube over bars + hammer = ultimate experimental backsweep win
