Jon Alty
Idk how ive managed to do this, but whilst riding today my left pedal came loose and was hanging off at an angle, i took the pedal off and looked at the threads on there, and they are fine, however the threads inside the crank arm are stripped, so obviously the pedal cant now screw on. Anyone tell me if i can get it re-threaded or will i have to buy a new crank arm? Cheers
Ali C
Tartybikes offer a helicoil service on cranks, so yes, it is fixable.

Jon Alty
Can anyone tell me what difference putting 158mm cranks on my stock as opposed to the current 170mm's while i get the stripped one fixed? Id obviously put both 158s on not have 1 of each .
Luke Rainbird
If it's short term it'll be fine. They're a tad short to be ideal but hardly the end of the world if it's to keep you riding in the meantime Will just make your gearing feel a little harder, that's about the extent of it. Jon Alty
Cheers, i thought that would be the case, as less length means less leverage, so harder to pedal i presume. Ill just stick those on for the time being =p.
