CC12345678910
So I was test fitting the parts I bought and have worked out the easy stuff (like where the bearings go and such) but the headset came with 3 shims that arn't pictured on tarty. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/headsets/large_atomz2.jpg So what are they for and more importantly where do they go? they look like the ones pictured on the hope headset http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10147&category_id=88 so do they serve the same purpose? Also the chainline is gonna be miles out unless I space it out. The spacer off my crank arms (the one instead of a rockring) fits perfectly but will doing this strip the theads on my hub or do any other damage? Sorry for esay peeps and all help appreciated. Thanks Ciaran Edited November 25, 2010 by CC12345678910
CC12345678910
Sorted the headset out when I gave it a proper look at. Now just the question about using that spacer to sort now.

CC12345678910
It's for a hub not a set of cranks but your answer gives me hope EDIT: Just re-read your post. What i'm planning (just to make it crystal clear for everyone) is to put a freewheel spacer like this: http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10962 behind the sprocket on my hub so the chain moves toward the frame. Sorry if I didn't make that clear the first time round. Edited November 25, 2010 by CC12345678910

Sponge
I have a few Echo crank spacers untouched lying around (the ones that are supposed to come with Echo cranks for 'no bashring use') to give better chainline. I'm feeling generous so just pay postage and it's yours for free! Edited November 29, 2010 by Ares
Mark W
From his first post, it sounds like he has the spacer. With the spacer on there, how many threads are showing on your hub?
Sponge
Oops, my bad. Should've read it better. Offer's out there for anyone who's stuck without one!
