Rim Lightening

i i was just wondering if grinding the second wall out of my echo urban rims to make them lighter and if it did make them lighter would it make a difference.

If its a 36 hole rim cut out the section between hole 32 and 36 and just use 32 spokes. Should make it lighter.

WIll make no difference. Spend the time riding instead.

I cut out 1 wall out of 07 echo urban rear rim, was ±25g. Not really worth it, rim is heavy, but it's strong and that is useful if you are a novice.

Edit: been bashing mine(rim) for like couple of years.

i managed to dent mine on my first ride with 20 psi and i only weigh 8 and 1/2 stone

In all seriousness I run a front Echo 07 rim on the rear with sqaure holes, and 100odd holes in the inner wall. Now weighs around 660gr
