You don't have to be an engineer to figure out the recent trend towards1500grams frames

compared to past deng frames of around 2 kilos.

One of the T-Bone proto frames I rode was around 7lbs. That broke after 2 weeks. The much lighter version lasted a good few months.

A lighter, well-designed frame can still outlast a heavier, badly-designed frame. I'm not saying that the old Deng frames were badly-designed, but I am saying that if they've done their homework with this one it doesn't have to be weak. Is there even a weight quoted for this anywhere? Couldn't see one on Neil's site...

Anyways - I quite like the look of it. Looks like a 'better' version of the Piranha/Pitbull from the past, e.g. the same curvy toptube setup as the Piranha, but the Pitbull's sideplate setup. The two-tone fade looks cool, and I like the more subtle ZOO! graphics too. If this is the usual sort of Deng price I can see it doing pretty well.

I really like it!

I always have liked Zoo!'s stile, but vertical drop outs and excessive street-oriented geometry scared me to buy a new one.

Now, with this new style I love it.

I hope they'll do a shorter option, like 1065 or something like that.

If yes, probably I'll get one next year.

That is EXACTLY what I think, everything in your whole answer lol

Looks OK, a cleaner, better thought out frame with some neater graphics (Y)

I've been sort of hoping it'd come in for a while. Bigger bearings = longer life. Weight of the BB itself is almost identical to a comparatively priced one (e.g. Try-All ISIS = 260g, Echo Urban = 262g).

I've had a press-fit (either Spanish or Mid) on my BMX for ages and they're pretty good in that capacity.

Very much so. Should be good seeing what all the new Echo frames look like.

Doubt the 2011 range will be revised that much though it would nice for the 07-08 Typhoon to make a comeback next year as i always felt that the GU LE was a watered down Typhoon which failed to make the same oh my god impact the Typhoon had.
