Scott Gibbs
I'd recomend (if your using a rear cassette hub that is) to use 2 rear sprockets a 22t or 23t up front. Then on the back a 16t for trials and a 12t aswell for riding around. I have this set up and it works a treat. Revolver
The hardest gear possible? 48t bmx sprocket on the front, 8t bmx hub on the back. A ratio of 1:6.

monkeyseemonkeydo
48t bmx sprocket on the front Pah, you can get bigger than that for road/track bikes. 73T and jam.
