Greetings
Meh, 3rd topic in the last 48 hours. Sorry. I usually use epoxy for this but I've run out and want to install new refills for tomorrow. Is super-glue good for the job? I recall there being problems with using super-glue for metal-rubber adhesion.
Mark W
Seems to work fine. I usually used epoxy resin when I did it ages ago, but superglue's fine.
PeanuckleJive
I used to use epoxy, and it sucked for me. Super glue gets my vote anyday. Loctite do some that is more of a gel than liquid, you can get it at b&q, that stuff is awesome, and less messy
Phatmike
So long as the pads are reasonably tight Super Glue is fine. If they're not a tight fit, you'd be safer with Araldite. Although if the pads & backings are at the correct tolerances (few other than ours are, I've found), they won't need any glue at all, which makes taking them in and out so much easier. Gandalf the Yellow
I used Aradite and it's fine. But I would assume the stronger type Loctite will do the trick. Steve
