krazykid009
Hey all, I am looking for some cheap inner tubes for my 26 and came across these: Lnky Does anybody know if they are any good. Its only to tide me over for a few rides until I get my mod, but the lightweight XC ones I have in at the moment are pretty shot. I don't really want to spend £8 per tube so these look a viable alternative, but I don't know. Thanks James
Tom Canham
Ive got some 20" Wilko's ones. There pretty good. Dunno about the 26" ones though. CalopS
I would only use the 20" ones in a "Ive run out of puncture repair pads and wilcos is close" emergency.
Azarathal
I know this isn't relevant to your original question buut... I'm wondering if anyone's tried the 19" / 4.5" tube on tarty? It looks like an absolute beast :

krazykid009
Don't worry guys I have got it sorted. Got myself some heavy duty Kendas. Is there anything extra I can do to prevent punctures. Thanks James

Phatmike
Its way too heavy. Dont bother unless you have no desire to ever be smooth. For the record; bike weight = nothing to do with smoothness, providing it's ridden properly!
Revolver
Pro tip - choosing a tyre with a sturdy sidewall will protect your tube from punctures much better than using a flimsy tyre and an epic tube.

I more meant that people might buy a heavy duty tube so they didn't have to try and be smooth, because there so puncture resistant. not that heavy bikes cant be ridden smoothly! Thanks James Yes assuming your riding stock, get a continental DK, I run the Maxxis Ultralight tubes, front AND back and I have yet to get a pinch flat. Oh Damn! I have gone and said it now also!
