I cant see the picture as "the content is unavailable", but the inner part of my freewheel on my Monty 221 Ti cracked aswell, the inside just sort of fell apart and all the ball bearing bits fell out. I just took it off and replaced it with the Try-all 108.9, which is awesome Pretty sure u cant fix it, just gotta replace it. laurent
i´m getting the echo sl titaium tomorrow i hope i´t last a little bit longer than sl steel, i´ve had the broken one for about 4 months?! The "outer teeth" of the Sl titanium is the same as the sl, it is no made of titanium, so it will not last more....or less. Apparently these echo outer teeth happened to break sometime. Rusevelt
If you can reload the photo on your facebook, i'm pretty sure everyone here would be curious to see how you managed to break the outer shell of your Echo SL freewheel under normal riding use. I eventually broke mine after 3-4 months of use as the result of freak accident from a hard impact, so it wouldn't be a fair comparison really. craigjames
Could you get an actual photo of the crack as that just looks like you've put a line on the Tarty bikes pic using Microsoft paint....
Greetings
Seen it happen before, rather disappointing. Possibly the best freewheel ever is defeated by a breaking chainring. edit: The titanium freewheel has a steel chainring so there will be no difference in durability. Maybe there was a fail in mine? and yes i´ve made the picture in paint to illustrate the crack:D
monty221ti
Could you get an actual photo of the crack as that just looks like you've put a line on the Tarty bikes pic using Microsoft paint.... i did, can´t realy get a good photo pf the crack with my cam. but it's the same type of crack as RUSEVELT posted here, my FW was just 100% in order, no dents or broken theet, the lockring was also kept tight, but it's came loose often.also, what can i do so my FW dont crack, if theres eny solusion? keep the lockring tight, if there any solusion that can make the lockring tight constantly? as i cant weld it because it's steel - titanium?
