Franksx2005
When riding my ring finger top knuckle aches really bad, mainly when on the back wheel. It gets to the point that when i take my hand of the bars i find it hard to straighten said finger. Ive tried adjusting my lever reach and the position slightly but there is no improvement. Has anyone experianced this and is there any suggestions on how to stop this. Many Thanks
forteh
I used to get tendonitis in my hands years ago when I rode alot of bmx, after riding for a while my fingers would sieze into a grip position and I couldnt straighten them, it was even painful to manually straighten them with the other hand. I used to suffer with my non braking fingers (the ones you grip with) on the trials bike aswell, not sure what I did to cure it but I dont suffer now; I think its to do with gripping the bars too hard. I also got it in the braking fingers but cured that by having a softer, mushier lever (RB lever cured all my problems) and having the bite point closer to the bars; I cant get on with a brake lever that is stiff now. Might be worth a trip to the gp to see if you can get referred for physio, I think taking anti-inflammatories can help but rest is probably the best cure:)
