Jon Alty
Hi, i bought my Monty 221 Ti quite a while ago, after about a year of riding. I dont know what bottom bracket it has in it, is there a seeable difference in ISIS or Square Taper that would help me buy the right tool for taking the cranks off, to then take the bottom bracket out, which then might help me determine the make/model? Or is there an easier way to take that stuff off? Not really been into the whole taking apart my bike thing as ive allways been affraid i might break something or not put it back together properly Cheers. eskimo
You should be able to see the difference in the axle with the crank arm on. But most crank removers work with ISIS and Square anyway. When you take the BB out, it'll probably be branded someone on it. You won't need the exact same model. Just measure the BB axle end to end to find the length and buy one that is that length by 68mm or whatever you BB shell measures at.
