It's seriously easy man!

The driveshell just pulls off("just", ha). Get a tool with some long handles like so:

place the handles underneath your sprocket and just lever the whole thing off.

The pawls and springs will then be accessible, take them out(a spring may well be broken if it's skipping) and arrange them on your desk/work surface in the pattern they came out.

Give the ratchet a clean up and what not, clean the springs and the pawls, obviously order a new spring from HERE if you need to.

Then putting it back together is the reverse of taking it apart really. Job done.

That tells you everything you need, to be fair though I just run mine dry it's louder and gives a more solid engagement IMO if you bend the springs up slightly aswell itl put more pressure on the pawl and cause it too engage faster and prevent skipping
