^Mole^
1) i have a 08 Gu Typhoon.. and its anodised black.. will nitromors pull this off? And.. can you bleed .. Magura julies with water, as i've just brought a new body and as my old one started to leak, i think that was bled with DOT but, don't want to just jump straight in and bang water in it ... so wondering does it have to be DOT or maggy blood or can i just use water? Thanks

Nick Manning
All Maguras come as standard with Magura Royal Blood (mineral oil) and cannot be used with DOT fluid, as for using water in there disc brakes, I'm not sure. I use water in my MAgura HS33 as do most people, but I don't know if it would work in a Magura disc.

trials owns
dont use water in disc brakes apparently it will boil due to heat and mess the seals up.

Makes sense, along with that don't use DOT fluid either, as I believe the DOT fluid will just eat away the seals. You can use mineral from Halfords, it's cheaper than Magura royal blood, I think's It's could LHM or Citroen brake fluid.
Azarathal
LHM Mineral oil from halfords is like £8 for a litre of it. Use that in your MAGURA disk brakes. As far as I know HOPE disk brakes use Dot. I believe the avid disks also use mineral oil Never bleed a disk brake with oil. The water will boil and your brake will be full of air in no time. I don't think nitromors will remove adonising. I think caustic soda will though. As well as nitromors, this stuff burns so wear gloves. Thanks 1) Nitromors will do it very slowly. Anodizing on frames is pretty permanent, you can get it off with caustic soda or oven cleaner, but be careful and be prepared to spend a long time doing it. 2) You should not do this, because of the heating issue, but I seem to recall it won't destroy your seals in a magura brake.
