Andy P
Picked up this frame off Ross at the Gavin memorial ride in wales. I liked the colour but it was looking a little tired. I was just going to do a white respray however I've always wanted a raw finish steel frame so went about stripping it - if I wasn't happy with how it looked I could always respray it so there was nothing to lose apart from a bit of time and effort. This is how it looked before I got it... And now (with the addition of 4 bolt mounts)... And one from Portland on Sunday Things that need tweeking are - cut down steerer tube once I'm happy with height, slightly longer stem, higher rise bars. Andy P
The bike wasn't looking tired, just the paint in some areas! Knee is on the mend too, doing some "light" riding (or so I tell the physio!) Hopefully back to full strength soon Brock, its a Marino frame. Chimp.... it'll come - one day! RossMcd
Looks beast! But whats up with the maggy mounts?
Ross McArthur
Looks beast! But whats up with the maggy mounts? Have a look at the red frame... Then have a look at the raw version. He has removed the V bosses and replaced them with braze on 4 bolt mounts. Good move!
alex-trials-boy
Tell you what though those maggie mounts look bloody solid.
Andy P
Tell you what though those maggie mounts look bloody solid. They are! I've always run a booster on all my frames, no need on this bike!
