Hannah Shucksmith
Angle grind it, it's pretty common. If you're doing on the rear just be wary of a weak back wheel.
t33zr
TRA did it on a Try-All rim, before they made the new hOle rims! Worked like a charm!
l33th3tr33
I have just taken the inner wall of my rim out, and it's holding up pretty well considering I've got a snowflaked spoke pattern. the thing to look out for is when grinding it out, there was another lip underneath the inner wall, (see crappy ms paint pic) which you have to grind on the inside of (if I'm making enough sense). The only thing I had to do was cut and file each spoke end to be flush with the nipple to prevent punctures etc.. and I also missed cutting out the weld to not seriously weaken the rim. EDIT : My rim was an onza, so might not be the same case with the inner side wall or whatever. crispyboy
Hacksaw, dremel or grinder I did it a while back came out good. It makes the rim lighter but weaker but if your not a basher all good
