Mark W
Bleed. At least sounds very much like you need to do so. If you watch your pads and pull your lever, do the pads move as soon as you squeeze the lever a bit? If they don't, you need a bleed. trials owns
bleed the brake! as air is likely to be it there, either that or you have a leak somewhere. EDIT ha i got beaten to it. Edited October 16, 2010 by trials owns

Cundog123
when i pull in the lever the pads start coming in when the lever nearly hits the bar but the thing is, its only just had a fresh bleed
Mark W
Sounds like it hasn't had a very good bleed then The pads should literally move as soon as the lever itself starts moving, otherwise there's air in the system.

Mark W
Could try the top-up bleed trick - if you get a bleed hose and syringe with some of your brake fluid in (oil, water, whatever), then attach that to the bleed port on your lever. If you give the lever a bit of a squeeze, you'll see all the air in your brake rush into there. If you keep gently squeezing the lever, it moves all the air up into the bleed hose/syringe and out of your brake. Works pretty well, although it does depend how much air you've got in there. If it's pulling to the bar, might be worth doing a full bleed again...
