murph82
Gutted, gone to put my cranks on (Tensile optimums with uci style guard and 96 click FW) and the BB I had which I thought was ISIS is evidently some dodgy specialised strongarm splined offering specific to those cranks. I now need a BB but dont know what length I will need or how to work it out ? Its to go on an old koxx levelboss frame, if anyone could advise i'd be grateful. Also took my acs claw off my rear hub, DMR revolver (flip flop style ) and tried screwing my echo tr sprocket on and it gets about half a turn before geting to tight toturn with my hand, the fw spun on aqnd off is easy, is the sprocket the wrong size? --- can with way to much brute force get it on about 3 threads deep now need to whack in a vice and use the wheel but worried i'm gonna bust something, anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your help in advance. kevin Edited October 18, 2010 by murph82
Mark W
ACS Claws aren't super high quality, so it could just be it's a bit of a looser fit? A bit of grease should sort it though... For the BB - any 128mm ISIS BB should work fine

Miles Mallinson
I've got the same set up and mine were fine, what size is you thread on the revolver because you can get a small size for 15t on below and a bigger for 16t and above. Clean you threads

Krisboats
No one answered his screw on sprocket problem. Mark did, he said the ACS was probably a looser fit and to use some grease.

murph82
? got a tr sprocket and presumed its all the same????no real way of lmeasuring though?!? I'm presuming the revolver is 1.37"x24 thread, is that the case do you know?
Mark W
If you had a freewheel that was above 14t on there, then it's the correct size thread for that sprocket.
murph82
yeah, its an 18t, thanks. Just wanted a bit of reassurance before I screw it up in a vice, would take a while to replace if I bust it at the moment!
Matt Burrows
I know a few people who have stripped the threads on those hubs before just from riding. Could it be that the threads are slightly squished which is making it difficult? If this is the case you can't really do anything anyway but clean them as much as possible and try to fit the new cog. Sometimes running a very sharp and thin knife down the dips in the threads can help to clean them up. You can use it almost like a file to help re-cut flattened parts of threads. Other than that just grease it up plenty, make sure its on the first few threads properly, and if its still tight you might have to just force it on and prey!
