Alex Dark
Just dragged my mini moto out of the garage..cleaned the carb and stripped it down. Now when it starts its stuck on full revs, nearly got away from me just now Anyoner got any ideas how to cure this? The slider for the throttle in the Carb seems to be free, and the idling screw is right in.
casualjoe
Could be the carb cleaner burning out, give it another start.
Alex Dark
Tried it 3 times since...still running at full bore. Little scary when it actually jumps away from you . Forgot to mention I did use some easy start first time to get it started, but surely it should have burned out since then?
Simpson
Screwing in the idle screw increases the idle doood

CurtisRider
The needle on my mini moto has 4 possible positions for the needle via a circlip, so its possible you have moved the position of the circlip and the needle is too high? Muel
That would just make the mixture richer, it wouldn't change the tickover. (Much). If you've screwed the tickover screw right the way in, it's holding the slide further up than it should.
PeanuckleJive
Did you pull the throttle cable tight before you tightened it all up? Could be that you've put it back together in such a way that the carb is open by default

Ben H!
It'll be down to the throttle cable, Have a fidle about with it while it's running, Should do the trick.

Apart from he's already said the tickover is set as high as it will go...
