James Quigley
Right, Scenario: Iphone 3g - cracked screen - replacement screen from ebay fitted - phone wont boot? I can get the apple logo on the display, I can get the connect to itunes display, I can perform a full restore but it still wont boot past the apple logo screen, it's getting annoying now!!!!! Anyone got any suggestions?
Azarathal
1. Launch iTunes. 2. Connect your iPhone to your computer. 3. Press and hold the Home(aka Menu) button and the Sleep/Wake Button at the same time. 4. After 10 seconds, release the sleep/wake button. 5. Continue holding the Home button until iTunes prompts you with a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Try this, then restore. James Quigley
Have done that, it restores fine, then goes to reboot at the end and freezes on the apple logo
Danny
Have you replaced the LCD or just the glass? Take it back apart and disconnect and reconnect the digitizer again.

I agree with Danny, possible it's refusing to boot because one of the ribbon cables isn't fitted properly.
