Are Avid Bb7S Any Good?

i have the standard onza disc brake and i need to know is there any point in buying an avid bb7??

are avid BB7s better than the standard onza cable disc brakes??

if they are why??

If it works as you want it to then why bother?

My experience of ONZA cable discs is that they work extremely well then after a while f**k up completely and no amount of repairing and fiddling will mend them.

I've never used Onza cable disc brakes, but the Avid BB7 is an amazing brake. Unbeatable bite and hold in my opinion.

I know yours will have come standard on the bike, but I would personally never put a brake on my bike that had 'Onza' stamped on it. Just because I'm like that!!
