aener
I need examples of what really savage brakes sound like. The harsher and higher pitched the better. Also - if it has less of a tone to it and more of just noise, that's perfect. A lot of comp riders have a brake that sort of grinds a bit and then sounds like a shotgun. If you have that, that's exactly what I'm needing. For example, the line starting at 1:07 is a good example of the sort of sound I'm looking for, but even better is John Webster's in the comp section at the end. 14:07, 14:14, and ESPECIALLY 14:16. Unfortunately - I need there to be no music behind it. A bit of background noise doesn't matter, but the less the better. If you could rip the audio from the video, that'd be lovely. If possible, 320kb/s mp3 or higher (WAV would be magic). If not, upload the video somewhere in it's highest quality and I'll rip it out. I know this has been a very specific request - but the things I'm asking for are the ideals. So basically - if you have a clip of a monstrous sounding brake with no music behind it, please upload it to somewhere I can download it, or extract the audio and upload that. Either Vimeo or rapidshare/alternative please - youtube really rapes sound quality. Sorry for the hyperspecification :$ Thanks!
Dwarf Shortage
I regret to inform you that I do not have what you desire, alas, I post here in the off-chance that you are making a "Brake squeal remix", and may subsequently come back and feast my eyes upon said "Brake squeal remix" at a later date, upon viewing my content, and realised further posts have been made. I doubt no-one will have anything, but in the occasion that this is the case, I'll record mine tomorrow, as they're pretty horrific, and although lacking in any power, noise is abundant. That's the most lovely writing style I've ever witnessed on this forum It's not for that, unfortunately - but I'll give that a go too, if you like. You are too kind. I would be most grateful if you endeavoured to compose a "Brake sound remix"
Canardweb
And now my brake is much louder! Because I had an old grind and Coust pads. I now use TNN LGM and a grind!
Krisboats
I know because it's me you probably won't want them, but i have these clips on the pc that i can extract the audio from if you want? Both locations seem to enhance the noise due to buildings/quarry walls which make it even more pronounced? They're in 720p on youtube so marginally better quality. Phatmike
Norwegians love PHATPADS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq5ikcOQ0pc Why do you want noises, Flip? A perfect brake should be silent. Noise doesn't inspire a decent brake, a decent brake does!
