CptRoadsafety
ive never done trials before and im looking for a good starter bike, nothing id need to modify or anything, just a bike to learn the basics on. It's between the Onza Rip 2010 for £280, the Onza Spyrogyra for £219 or the Zona Zip for £319. What would be best to get? thanks

LukasMcNeal
zona zip without a doubt!! or you could get something second-hand for cheaper and better spec. I would say Zona Zip. Depends what you want to ride though Street/Natural or Do you want to ride a mod or stock?
onza rip 29
well you will have to think if you would be suited to a 26" or 20" and also what braking capabilities you would want and if you would want to upgrade this first bike. The Onza rip cannot host as many upgrades as the zona because the rip doesn't have hydraulic mounts which the Zona does and also the Zona has the capability for a wider tyre and rim also to start with the Zona has some decent parts like crankset and rims to start with. The 26" spyrogyra has only got v brake mounts but really it is what you are going to do on them and if you want to put decent parts on your bike and also what you are willing to pay Edited December 29, 2010 by onza rip
Maladie
The Zona Zip is EXTREMELY long. If i were you, i would fork out an extra bit of cash and go for the Onza Bird. It's better than the Rip because of the front disc instead of vee, and a 19" rear wheel.
Cresswell_d
The Zona Zip is EXTREMELY long. I disagree/agree with you there 'cos it depends on your set up. My Zip is a bunny hop beast and a trials beast. Also I had a lot of fun on it. (Until I got me a new one.) I recommend the Zip 'cos its a dam good for a starter/Intermediate bike. With a lot of upgrade options. There is on slight problem with it is that it weighs a bit heavy, Edit: They are built like a tank thou! But in the long run when you get your next new frame (a bit lighter) you would find things easier. Daz.
