krazykid009
Just wondered if this is a common problem with theses pedals and is it worth while spending the extra for say the rockman ones or tryalls? The speedraces are currently reduced to fifteen quid on Tarty, I got mine yesterday and look pretty good so far. James
Greetings
First time I've seen this happen. Did you bash the pedal against walls?
jambo
First time I've seen this happen. Did you bash the pedal against walls? Not at all, there is the usual scrapes to the cages of the pedal but nothing major, the actual body of the pedal has hardly got a mark on it. Back to the old faithfull dmr`s for now. Greetings
Might be worth contacting the place you bought them from about a warranty. These pedals are generally quite fragile and meant for UCI riding but this shouldn't happen.
Mark W
Echo don't provide much of a warranty for these pedals (they do in rare cases, but if there's any damage to pedals then they generally don't), but we provide a 6 month warranty for them. These pedals were unfortunately just outside the warranty period.

I love the feel of these pedals but just wondered if im better spending the extra cash for the rockman ones or am i just unlucky and i should just buy another pair of echos? I love the feel of these pedals but just wondered if im better spending the extra cash for the rockman ones or am i just unlucky and i should just buy another pair of echos? Well, I've had the Tr's for about 4 months, and I have hit them several times against rocks and walls mainly, the cages aren't bent at all (that was what was looking for), and strangely, the bodies are scratched over few places, but don't have any cracks. I may have noticed a little bit lost of hold, but nothing major. I'd go for them again. Hope this helps you!

A difficult one - the Rockman pedals are a bit more compact so they may be a little stronger because of that, but it's hard to say. Pedals get so much abuse from so many different angles it's always a bit of a gamble! The plus side of going for another set of TR pedals is that - apart from that one cracked body - you've got a pairs-worth of spares, so if anything happened to your new set then it'd be pretty easy to swap anything over should you need to. Matt Vandart
Ah they cracked they must be shite. I have tried my mates tr pedals and I must say they grip far better than they look like they should. By the way I believe the Rockman and Try all ones crack just the same, I am pretty sure I have seen similar threads for them. Those speed minge pedals look like a bargain, get 2 sets for the price o one TR and just swap em when u f**k em in six months. Same money less hassle, and you could always use these cracked ones and the first set o speed minge pedals in six months to hurl through some wankers window in the local estate, or use them as weights for fishing or even make some kind of industrial electrically operated egg beater/cake mixermatastical minge masher. Or you could tie some string to em and then to a pole and use them as a flail and act out the battle of sterling in yer street, should be about time for that by the time they are f**ked. The possibilities are endless..............
