crashbanggg
My laptop is eating my hard drive memory ridiculously fast. Iv added up music, videos, programs etc and I have about 65GB of stuff. My laptop has a 200GB hard drive so why the F**** is it telling me I have 25MB left on my hard drive? ZeroMatt
Check how much system restore and shadow copies are using. Edited September 25, 2010 by ZeroMatt
monkeyseemonkeydo
Without being too patronising, it's not just a partitioned disk is it? If not, go into the C: drive or whatever and right click>properties on a few of the folders in there and see what you come up with.
JT!
Usually laptop hard drives are partitioned to use one as a recovery. On my old laptop there was about 70gb on a partitioned drive. And it was only a 160gb harddrive. Goto my computer and see.

eskimo
Start menu-> type 'computer management'. Open. Click on the 'disk management' tab on the left. Here you can sort the partitions. ^^windows 7 XP. I've forgot. Should be in Control Panel somewhere. Or go to Help and Help will give you a link. fruitbat
Start> Right click My Computer > select Manage From the screen you get, select Disk Management under the Storage section, all drives/partitions will be visible on the right. crashbanggg
Ok, so it's split 28.99 GB in System and 203.89GB in Windows (C:), Does this sounds about right? And how do I check the shadow copy things? Anything on google seems to relate to Vista and won't work on 7 "/
fruitbat
When you go to Disk Management, how much of your drive does it say is 'Free Space'?
