Kieran Morrison
Hello! Well, the topic title is a little shocking to be honest. Today, when i was about to go ride, i noticed something up with my freewheel. It is making absolutly no clicks, that means-No noise(N) Also when the crank is at a certain position it will turn but not turn the wheel. Like a big skip, sometimes the freewheel just turns for ages with out moving the wheel, feels like there is no chain. Anybody know what's wrong? Also, will i get a replacement from tarty from my warrenty as i only got it a few weeks ago for my birthday. Cheers.
Jamie_Trials
Should be able to get a warranty, just open it up, springs may have snapped or moved, that's what usually happens when you stop getting engagements

dann2707
Opening it may void the warranty? That's just a guess though.
AdamR28
Has the bike been near any water at all? We had a similar issue with a TR freewheel a couple of weeks back and the inside of the freewheel was really rusty. A clean up and some lube made it better than new. I have been cleaning my wheel alot recently because of a oily rim. Where do I lube it? What lube should i use? and what do you mean clean up? But the thing is i have been washing my rim for weeks now, last cleaned 2 or 3 days ago and last night it was fine, today it just didn't work, should I send it to you guys just incase its proper damaged? AdamR28
If you can get it apart and lube the pawls and springs with light oil that's your best bet, however it can be a bit tricky (loose bearings) so if you want us to take a look that's no problem. I'm off next week though and I'm not sure how confident the rest of the guys would be with that job, so you could try squirting some very thin lube (like WD40) between the centre piece and outer (where the teeth are) and seeing if that helps. Anything to drive water out of there is good!
