Jamie_Trials
That's not generally how it works, more noise more power is the usual case. As the other guy said if you have onza citrus pads they'll squeak over noting, and its not a nice squeak. EDIT: adding a brake booster often quietens the noise because there is less vibrations. How are pads made to squeal? the noice comes from a dirty rim a ground rim or a rim with tar on it!
Kieran Morrison
How are pads made to squeal? the noice comes from a dirty rim a ground rim or a rim with tar on it! I dont quite know how.. I guess they just push against the rim with alot of force and heat up and squeel, alot like basketball shoes when you drag 'em across the floor the rubber sole of the shoe does the same as a brake pad. Not 100% sure why they squeel though.

Ali C
no, the brake will make a noise unless you use crap pads that decrease power. You could get a disc brake though, nice and quiet
trials and error
I'm not sure what pads they are as I did not buy them! Can anyone recomend a brake booster. Because I find it hard to hold the brakes when pedal kicking after a while (poor little finger) haha

trials and error
Won't a brake booster make the brakes stronger. Meaning I don't need to squeeze so hard??

I would not agree with that at all. Won't a brake booster make the brakes stronger. Meaning I don't need to squeeze so hard?? Sort of, it will make the hold better. So what's a good booster that will fit my frame? Gotta work on my ladie like forearms. Haha
Ali C
a brake booster won't really help your arms, but it will stop the frame from flexing increasing the holding power of the brake. I have been using a Trialtech 2 bolt booster with great results. If you havn't done already, bleeding the brake with water will help your arms.
