How Original
OK so I think it could be something to do with the rear hub but not sure. Basically when I pedal, and then stop pedalling just to roll, the bike doesn't just roll, the pedals keep going, as if the rear freewheel/sprocket isn't working maybe? Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks
trials owns
i recon it sounds like the freewheel is packing up, not sure though.
Dan6061
So it's like the drivetrain is fixed? - Doesn't coast at all? If so, sounds like the freewheel has had it, probably blown up inside and jammed up. If you can, take it apart and have a look. Maybe you've just snapped a pawl or something. How Original
Yeah coasting! Thats the word I was looking for haha. It hasn't only happened once, so don't think it's jammed. But it does happen quite often, and it just throws you off the bike which isn't too clever, I may just take it to my bike shop and see what he says. trials owns
that sounds like the problems i had when my freewheel broke, it got worse and worse. Edited September 18, 2010 by trials owns

How Original
So do I need just a new rear sprocket, or do I need a whole new hub or what? Thanks for the help by the way guys .
Revolver
I broke a freewheel, it was a dicta one, and it did this. You need a new freehub or freewheel, whichever it is. Or, if you feel competent enough, you might be able to open it and fix it, but you may need spare parts for that, and some hubs/freewheels don't have availiable spares. Maladie
This sounds exactly like what happened to me with my Profile hub. It actually seized just as i was about to do a drop, and that wasn't the best drop i've ever pulled suprisingly. What happened is one of the pawls snapped and got stuck somewhere in the freewheel, so the same thing might have happened to yours? Not too expensive to repair
How Original
The bike is actually for sale at the moment anyway, but it helps if I can tell the buyer what the problem is lol. I may attempt fixing it, not sure were I would get a freehub or freewheel from, or what ones are good or would even fit, I'm pretty simple when it comes to trials parts, and what goes were. Just hope the bike sells to someone who knows what they are doing and it will be alright
