Andeee
Hi there just a quick topic just curious what innertubes everyone is using and what they have found the best. So far i have used: Tesco tubes which are the best i have come across they work even better with an old tube cut in half n wrapped around it. Wilkos tubes which were ok Asda tubes which didnt last long Schwalbes which were ok aswell. I ride stock btw but whats the best tube in terms of thickness n life span? Thanks Andy
dannytrialskid
Hi there just a quick topic just curious what innertubes everyone is using and what they have found the best. Tesco tubes - I haven't used these before. Wilkos tubes which were ok - These lasted me one ride each time. Asda tubes which didnt last long - I haven't used these before. Schwalbes which were ok aswell. - I haven't used these before. I ride stock btw but whats the best tube in terms of thickness n life span? Thanks Andy I currently have Kenda. They lasted me quite long. Although yesturday my valve split. So far I would choose Kenda over every tube that I have tried so far. Going to try the Maxxis and the Try-All ones next. Might aswell experiment to see what suits you best. Don't forget that everyone rides different. Your either a basher or a smooth rider or somewhere inbetween. So the tube depends on how you ride, e.g. no point getting a thin tube when your a basher. If your a smooth rider a thin tube would be fine, yet I would still never buy a thin tube again! weirdoku
Got some shitty wilkinsons £1.18 20" tube on the front. Perfectly fine. A 20" Schwalbes heavy duty in the rear. Only 2 or 3 snakebites in about 3 months. But otherwise perfectly fine.
Dwarf Shortage
tesco front and rear, can't go wrong. +1, until my fat basher of a mate has a ride and punctures it in under 2 minutes.
aener
Usually a pair of wilko's tubes, though I have a 26" Schwalbe in the front at the minute, as no shops were open and my old one died on the valve. Really cool. Shoved a section of the tube back down inside itself so there's a part that's double thickness. Makes a rather noticeable heavy-spot there, but we don't roll fast Pinch the back maybe once a month. Try-all tyres are amazing at not getting pinches. Folded my rim without getting one
monkeyseemonkeydo
tesco front and rear, can't go wrong. I haven't repaired a tube for about 9 years now so it's all about the cheapness on the 24". Usd to be 79p Kenda's from Trago Mills but only got down there once or twice a year so now tend to use Tesco 90% of the time. I do have some fat Echo 19" ones for the back of the Zoo though. Mark W
Used a Tesco tube when I got caught short on a ride and it was alright. Got a pinch pretty quickly, but that was in a phase of near constant pinches. Just sticking with Kenda unboxed tubes at the moment - seem to be pretty good strength/weight, not massively expensive, work really well. Oli P
I have been using an Airwave tube on the back for the last month and they are very good, had one pinch and that was only when I fell off. The only down side is that they are not the lightest tubes. Also Im running a tesco tube on the front and have done for a long time with the occasional pinch. I did run tesco tubes on the rear but found that they stretched to much on the rear and got lots of pinches. Im using single ply tyres.
