TRD
Ok, say this was the monty thread, scratch that! I know the BB rise is different, but I don't mind +55, feels good to me, and I've never ridden anythin over +55 And i've always loved the look/geo of the limey 3 So what do you peeps prefer, from expirience and stuff, i know the lynx will be good for me since i'm a ''harsh" rider, and ive never really heard anything bad about the fans, i want a frame that won't dent so easy, nor crack easy, i'm only at, say a little more than intermidiate skills. also, i have a zoo python, but its a 2006 with crappy geo for me. Thanks Edit: OR Atomz quark II Btw: i have to have dual disk in which ever frame i choose thanks again! (I'm leaning towards the limey 3, unless the limey 4 comes out soon) Edited September 14, 2010 by TRD
Zoo!Man
Well, first of all, I wouldn't buy a '09 Kamel, because they snap quite easily (look at the pic), they are heavy and veeery expensive. Furthermore, some friends of mine that snapped them, had then several problems with warranty, Monty said they replaced the snapped frame being in warranty by a new one BUT paying around 200€... So I'd choose another bike. Nevertheless, you can buy them in some Spanish shops, like trial-bikes.com or al4bikes.com Edited September 13, 2010 by Zoo!Man

TRD
Okay, thanks for the help! I'll go ahead with the SpeedRace then, because I'm somewhat of a 'hard' rider

Believe me mate, monty DO NOT hold knocks at all. That picture I've shown is from my friend Alberto, that was his first '09 Kamel, then he paid 200€ for the second in warranty, and snapped that one THREE times, even he did a lot of extra welds in order to improve durability (look at the picture again), but it didn't even matter. Then he bought an Aurem III, he's been riding it over the last 7 months and it has only one dent in the downtube. I'll go ahead with the SpeedRace then, because I'm somewhat of a 'hard' rider If you're a hard rider i'd go for the Limey, solid frames that will more likely take a bit more punishment than the speedrace. Matt Vandart
Zoo Lynx for sure, best bet for durability and cheapest option. Heard of a few problems with the limey 3 cracking (Why have onza replaced the design so quickly?) Speed race seem to be pretty good also. Monty are a rip off. Personally If I was buying a dd mod now I would either get a new lynx or an Ozonys.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that, I don't think there's much in it. If you have both the frames to compare the tubing on the FANS is much thicker than the Limey, especially the downtube. Since the FANS has no built in booster, no 'wings', much smaller dropouts, no bash mounts it can use thicker tubing while still being lighter than the Limey. Personally If I was buying a dd mod now I would either get a new lynx or an Ozonys. The 26" first batch frames had issues with the top tubes cracking due to the tubing being too thin and the internal hose routing holes causing a stress riser, some cracked at the dropouts; these issues were sorted with the second batch (the white frames). But the frames have been out for a year, hardly rushing to get a new design out; the Limey 4 20" is out as Joe has been screaming for a shorter, higher lighter frame for a while. Hmm, I'm not sure about that, I don't think there's much in it. If you have both the frames to compare the tubing on the FANS is much thicker than the Limey, especially the downtube.
