  1. 1. I have (a) Deng...

    • Frame and four or more components - but not completely. See option 6.
    • Frame and three or less components
    • No frame, but four or more components
    • No frame, but between one and three components
    • Completely Deng free.
    • Completely Deng. It's at the bottom 'cause I forgot to put it in, and can't be bothered to shift them all down one.

I'm just a bit curious as to how dominant in the UK market Deng is.

I'm thinking he probably takes around 40% of it, all told.

As for me, I just surprised myself to realise it's option 4. Only my rear hub is Deng.

And you?

Edit: Added "Completely Deng", just in case.

Mostly deng;

GU 20" - Frame, headset, forks, rear hub, both rims, TR pedals, SL freewheel, sprocket, cranks, brake clamps, lever blade, bar and stem.

GU 26" - Frame, headset, TR pedals, SL freewheel, cranks, bar, stem, lever blade, brake clamps and booster.

And a spare 06 Python frame

In my eyes Deng stuff is great.. Strong, light stuff at a nice price!

The thing with Deng is that his parts are good value so they will be popular. Those who have a slightly higher budget will probably be more inclined to look into other parts.

Maybe I worded it badly, maybe you took it the wrong way, or maybe I'm taking your responses the wrong way - but it sounds like you're defending Deng. In no way was I slating him - I just wanted to know HOW popular his products were.

Only Deng product I've ever owned is a pair of Echo Hifi forks that came on a second hand bike I bought, since been replaced with some Identiti Tuning forks. Never bought a Deng product myself in my life.

Why the aversion to Deng?

N.B. - Not in the defensive way... In the curious way.

So then why make a poll that is only asking if your bike has none, all or above/below (and including) ~20% deng components?

As the rest of the post said, I'm talking about the UK MARKET, not each individual bike.

That's a decent threshold for "not many" and "quite a few" Deng components to be set at.

The "Deng free" bikes, and bikes with very few bits compare to the ones with a lot of Deng componentry. If the two thresholds give the same amount of votes, it'll be approximately 25% of the market (assuming that the average bike in the "lots of Deng parts" category is around 50% Deng.)

Besides, I've already asked you to leave me alone and stop responding to my posts. I don't give you hastle, please stop giving it to me.

Don't go deleting my posts this time - I'm the maker of this thread, and I'm 100% fine with it getting clogged up.

Piss off.
