Smeeble
Hi, I've just joined up. Done mainly BMX biking for the past few years and had bought a mod trials bike off a mate a while ago. Recently though I have moved on to mountain/road biking and bought a Giant Revel 2. Unfortunately I don't have room in my new house for more than one of my bikes, so I am having to sell my BMX and trials bike, only thing is that all I know is that the bike is a Megamo. Can any one tell me anything more about the bike in the pictures? I have changed the free wheel, along with the pedals and I'm sure it has Magura hs11 brakes, but that's all I know about it. Yes I know it needs a clean. Thanks for any info.

quick_spider
Looks like a Megamo Pro Steel. Used to love mine Will keep an eye out for that on ebay and in the for sale section (when you're validated) Jon
Ben Cox
i'd say it was the rookie, hence the v mounts instead of 4 bolt mounts. I've got a 26 pro in the garden . Ben
Smeeble
Also any ideas on how much it is worth? Needs the odd thing doing to it, another new free wheel probably as the current one slips. Thanks for the quick replies, wish I'd known about this forum when I actually rode trials! Yeh I think it is, has a sticker on it saying 20 anyway Where on it do I measure, is it the seat post to the stem? I can do this weekend. Its the size of the wheels on it. 20inch=mod, 26inch=stock, 24inch=24. Simple that last one really.

EDIT: It may be simple to someone who knows what they're on about. I'm going to say the back wheel is 19inch. The back tyre looks about an inch thicker than the front. Luke Dunstan
I'm going to say the back wheel is 19inch. The back tyre looks about an inch thicker than the front. Then that means the rear tyre is larger than the front, nothing to do with the wheel size. Looks to me like a 20". EDIT: Foolish comment, read on for abuse. eskimo
Literally worth a couple of quid. Anyone who buys it would just be wanting the main setup, frame and fork. Maybe bar and stem at a push. The stamped headtube is f**king cool though. The brakes aren't worth a great mount either. £30/40 at a push seeing at they seem to be HS11s? Smeeble
Thanks again for all the quick replies. I'm sure it is a 20", definitely not a stock or 24" bike but will check. It's a bit daft the way that different bikes are measured different ways. I'm also 99% sure that the brakes are hs11's. Rekon it's better to sell as a complete bike, or as parts? Are the wheels the same size as your bmx? They are 20inch in all. Its the deaminter(sp) of the wheel.

TROYston
If you want to start on tyres, Its a 16.5" wheel out of memory with a 2.5" tyre. Front being bigger obviously, Ah reminds me of the old megamo danny comas replica my mate bought time ago.
