If you don't know what a falling dream is, it is when you are lying in bed tired, and you weirdly fall part asleep... Then you have a little dream that you are falling, and just before you hit the ground, you jump and wake up.

They're scary! Discuss if you have had one, and if you have, what were you falling off?

I have had a few of them now. Also some one told me that if you do hit the ground you die :/ wired shit.......

Someone told me that too, but its a dream. I'm guessing you can only do that if you have heart conditions or something and have a heart attack. I have had about 30 of them now.

I sometimes dream that im falling out of bed ...... then i fall out of bed :/]

Ashes.

I had one where i fell off that skip on my bike that i fell off in my video, it was scarier in the dream than real life! and i dreamt i fell of a building also on my trials bike, and i fell down a well on my feet. WEIRD.

My mate told me that at a party when we were all pissed and lying in bed about to sleep, my girlfriend didn't sleep that night 'cause she was scared she would hit the ground and die, and I couldn't stop laughing at either of them.

He also told me that "If someone pulls a specific hair from your head, (it's like, a special hair), that you die.

Neither of these have a factual basis, neither does "If you sneeze, cough, burp, fart and whatever else it is, at the same time, you shit yourself and die."

I also have the falling spasm thing loaaaaaaaads.

You must be used to them :P

I've had 2 or 3 falling dreams.

I have, however, had a few dreams where everything seems to have dropped off a cliff edge, and it's so high it's like everything's floating, and you can just see other floating shit that's fallen off, like cows, lorries, cars, stuff like that. I haven't had that dream since I was a kid though. I think it has something to do with living in hilly yorkshire where there's loads of drops at the edge of the road, something like that.

floating shit that's fallen off, like cows,

I want to have a floating cow dream. NOW!

I've had the falling dream tens of times in my life. When I was small my parents told me that when you have a dream like that it means that you've just grown. But after thinking about it now I realize that they were making it up.

edit: anyone had a running dream? As in running in a low gravity world really really fast?

I think there were cows, lol.

The last time I had the falling dream I was like 9 and I dreamt I fell out of a rollercoaster. I always end up lying on my front thoug when I had it.

I've often thought, if I can get to sleep lying on my front, maybe I'll have the falling dream, but it feels so weird, and there's nowhere to put your head so you can breathe. You can't lie on your throat...

I've always been told its just from before we evolved and was something to do about monkeys falling out of tree's and the shock is where then you'd grab on to a tree.

Could just as easily be wrong though. However dieing when you hit the floor seems too far fetched, if you hit the floor then die you can't tell anyone, and even if you're monitoring brainwaves you can't tell what dream a person is having just before they die.
