SamKidney
Hi all, Im coming into some money next month and my mate has offered me his 2007 Zoo! Pyhton. I know its brilliant value for money spec wise but want to know if the frames are good. I want a strong frame to go with my strong components!!! All opinions viewed and taken into consideration. Thanks, Sam
BlueSmokeyJoe
Yup, Pythons are damn strong. If its anything like my 06 you'll be onto a winner. Can imagine the inbuilt booster will help the rear brake as well .
Zoo!Man
If you want something strong, buy it. I've got a '09 Python, which has 1 dent in the downtube and 1 crack over the inbuilt booster, but it's still a good choice.

I like a firm brake
BlueSmokeyJoe
Well, it doesn't have the cnc 'wings' lol In all seriousness though, if I was sourcing another Python it would probs be an 07.
Akira_Shock!
06 Pythons were fragile if you rode them too hard. It was a small design fault rather than 'unlucky manufacturing error'. They always cracked at the same spot. 09s are fragile too because they are made of 6061 and overall isn't too great a design. My mate cracked the bashplate mount weld on the downtube and cracked the inbuilt booster too. But pretty much every frame will crack at the brake mounts if u dont run a booster
SamKidney
Really??? And im not a fan of the CNC wings haha. Ive heard good things about the frame before but just wanted to check as you are the guys in the know. Im needing a new frame anyway. The Neons got 2 cracks now, one on the seatstay where it meets the top tube behind the weld and another smaller crack near the headtube

Back on topic though, 07 Python .
