Blake
Heya, I recently read that the onza bird '09 doesn't have a good back break, I wondered if anyone know this is true as I have been considering getting one Cheers!

krazykid009
Well It's a vee so it depends completely how you set it up. Decent cables, lever, pads and get it set up properly and it will outperform a maggie, but set it up wrong and you will have one hell of a time trying to stop. I think it all depends on which method you use to set it up. I have my own way which I think works best. Hope I helped James Edited September 5, 2010 by krazykid009
ZooRYDER
Just adding on a bit from the last post: I think like-wise in saying that it totally depends on how you set it up, but i found that after long periods of time the cable tends to stretch. But this doesnt seem to happen with any more regularity than needing to re-bleed a Magura HS33 hydraulic rim brake, and with similar prices between new cables and a re-bleed, it totally depends on your knowledge of setting up/ maintenence. Hope this helps, Jack.

Grant-MacD
Its all about how you keep it, I have an awesome Onza vee brake on the front, but thats because I maintain it and i fix it and keep it in tip-top shape all the time. So yeah, if you maintain it, it will be good (with some heatsink pads of course!).
