jake-clements
Hello, i have bought a second hand trials bike and i have had it for about a week, i have noticed that the bottom bracket has just started to make a loud creeking noise when i pedal! I have put a small amount of grease around the area where the crank arms and the bottom bracket meet but it hasnt made any difference. How do i stop this noise? thanks, Jake. Odd Socks
Hi, Don't know if you have checked this, but when I got a second hand bike and it started creaking at the bottom bracket, I found that it was in fact the bolts holding the crank on. Now that I have thread locked the bolts and done them up tight, no more creaking Tim

krazykid009
I solved mine by thread-locking the bolts as above and also greasing the underside if the crank-bolt heads. Hope I helped James
Luke Dunstan
I'd check that the crank hasn't worn where it connects to the BB. iI left for a while you'll be needing new crank arms.
Dan6061
Could just be dirt between the crank arm and the BB. Whip the cranks off, give it all a clean, and put them back on again. See if it makes any difference?
