rab shropshire
Right I have been of work for too long and a new baby means night time riding is out lol So i decided to modify some things to see if i could make parts better, Don't know if anyone has tried this before. First of I wanted to make some standard maggy mounts work similar to TR clamps, Really simple cut your plastic washers and glue them into your clamps. they work well i tryed them out and they set your pads up pretty square. Second i wanted to see if a 4 finger blade would work with an 04 maggy, i had a standard 2 finger blade spare so afer a bit of fileing it worked. A bit more filing will move the lever blade further out from the bars. if anyone is interested i can stick a pic up of where i filed etc
Dan6061
All you have to do to standard Magura clamps is file them down so they're like the TR clamps.
rab shropshire
i heard that but i thought this would be simpler and less time consuming, where do you file them any way

rab shropshire
i can ride during the day but at night i have to do the bathing and stuff lol. A bit more work is needed on the 04 lever to get it perfect but im confident it will work pretty well

rab shropshire
il stick some up tommorrow mate it still needs a bit more filing off to allow the lever blade to go further away from the bars

Mark W
The plastic washers gradually deform which is the only issue with your clamp setup - a lot of the time when people have brake setup issues it's down to their cylinder washers being worn to the shape they had their brakes in last, so when they try and move their cylinders they just move back into the old position. Might end up being an issue with yours, possibly...
