ellis-collins
I was just wondering, if I was to buy a front profile mini hub, would it fit a mod spacing wise ? Thanks, Ellis Edited September 1, 2010 by ellis-collins
Ben Cox
all front hubs are a standard spacing, so yes a profile mini front hub will fit. the only issue is if it has a 14mm axle or the 10mm axle. Ben
Mark W
The other issue is that they're not really that great considering the price of them
Akira_Shock!
Lol, yeah But then again, you're paying for something that's 100% made in the USA in-house with top quality Japanese bearings. I don't think there are many other brands in BMX and certainly not trials that can boast that. Plus it looks super nice. TAIWAN-made stuff can be super good, but in the case of Profile you're paying for something that isn't mass-produced by work monkeys for dirt. Mark W
Yeah, their QC's so good they most definitely didn't make a whole batch of hubs incorrectly and then put them on the market. Oh, wait... The best BMX hubs on the market at the moment are the G-Sport hubs, and they're all made in Taiwan. Quality's the highest, bearings are the best, design's the strongest. With Profile you seem to pay quite a bit purely because of the machining on there, a lot of which isn't necessary (e.g. the 'rings' around the middle of the hub shell. Add weight, look gash, add cost - winner!). They've had quality issues with their bearings before too.
ellis-collins
Thanks for the help guys, I'll look abit more into different front hubs then, I'm still quite tempted by a profile. Also agreed about g-sport hubs, as I have recently came from bmx I know quite a few people who run them and they all say they are amazing, also they are one of the (if not) the strongest hubs you can buy. I would run a g-sport on my trials, but it would look odd, also I think they're abit heavy for trials

On some bmx websites you can get them in 28 or 32 hole aswell as the 36 hole ones .

Otherwise totality agree. Though three rear Profiles never experienced wobble. I'd say go for a King if you want bling. Otherwise buying something like a Profile is shooting yourself in the foot. Mark W
Lets be reasonably fair, which bmx female front hub hasn't experienced a bad batch of wobble? I meant the rear hubs, where they just advised that customers find a suitable sized shim. As far as I'm aware, the Proper, Odyssey Vandero 2, Fly and WeThePeople front hubs haven't had any issues with batches being f**ked... On some bmx websites you can get them in 28 or 32 hole aswell as the 36 hole ones . Was talking about the G-Sport fronts.
