Nose Move Technique Help Please.....

Hi all, im looking for anyone/everyone’s advice on moving up onto walls/edges (with a backhop to preload before landing nose/front wheel onto edge) and then swinging the rear wheel around rather than wheel swap.

i can visualise the move but cant execute it!! I guess that goes for all Macasket's moves!!

Is it possible to perhaps explain with break points and say ruff distance from wall etc.....? I run on a stock 26" & im left foot forward.

The move i mean can be seen

around 35seconds in. Admittedly its Vincet Hermance & he's wheel swapping big stuff but im struggling on this move still on stuff i can roll-endo up onto.

I only ask because ill be able use this move (once i get it) to combat higher stuff i cant rear wheel. B)

Thanks in advance guys....

Hey!

as for me - i still can't get as high as hermance does :) - but i can make it on a lower obstacles.

it's about using your momentum forward and as you jump forward - take your bicycles up BUT as the front wheel rich the element lean forward and put your weight on it holding the brake and raise the rare wheel up.

once the rare wheel is up and you still have your momentum forward - let go of the front brake and use your arms to pull the bikes forward.

make sure that you're not moving with your body backwards.

it's a big timing and momentum practice.

I really wish the bike did come up with me!! I think im still on the brakes as im unloading the power and only moving myself. I really will just keep practising this move until I get it (although more like the blisters get the better of me >_< )

Another question to this move: What is the average distance you all leave for the front wheel to travel to object? ie: Enough to bail out of move and still drop the front down before hitting the obstacle?

Thanks all.

ID TRY NOT TO BAIL MATYE. DONT EVEN HAVE THAT YOUR GOING BAIL IN MIND.. THERE WILL BE THE THAUGHT ALWAYS THER THIS IS PROBLY PREVENTING YOU GOING OUT 100% ALL THE WAY GIVIING IT WHAT YOU HAVE EACH TIME TO BE ABLE TO ALTER YOUR PROBLEM. YOU HAVE TO RIDE NOT BAIL.. JUST THINK THE ONLY TIME UR GOIN TO BAIL IS THAT IT IS WHEN UR FEET ARE ALREADY ON THE GROUND NOT RIDING. SEE EVERYTHING U RIDE NORMALY AS UR MASTER OF IT.. DONT LOOK AT IT AS UR GOING TO GET BEATEN BY IT. UR THER TO DEFEAT THE OBJECT ON YOURBIKE HOWEVER U WANA RIDE IT..

THIS PROB DOESNT MAKE SENCE. IM BOUT TO GO TO BED. BUTT JUS KEEP RIDING AND MAYBE TRYING TURNING ATLEAST 45DEGREES EACH TURN JUST ON FRONT WHEEL THIS MAY BE THE PROBLEM ALL TOIGETHER YOU NOT BEING ABLE TO TURN THE BIKE TO SWING THAT BACK END ROUND, SO DIAL THAT MAYBE BEFORE UP TO FRONT SUMTHING N SWING BAK END ON..

RIDE IT UP MAN (Y)
