Thanks, Joe Did you buy it new, as in sealed in the wrapper? Or second hand? Second hand most likely that someone before you who had it had already registered with the serial. Muel
It's your game, legally there has to be a way of unlocking the serial for your use. Phone up the company that made the game and be all, "bitch, unlock mah goddam game, stop bein a player hater yo". That'll sort it.
that NBR dude
be all, "bitch, unlock mah goddam game, stop bein a player hater yo". Is that while wearing gold chains, a bandana and threatening to "bust a cap in their ass"? I had a similar experience when I bought Half Life 2. Got it from Sainsburys and went to register, said it was already registered. I had to get in contact with the company, and provide a photograph of the CD and case with the serial number clearly visable, proof of purchase and ID, then they unlocked the serial number for me however it took a good few weeks for them to do it.

I done all that and they told me I needed a new one. Supposedly its already in use by someone else. I dont know where they sell them. Muel
You've bought the serial, there's no need to buy another, legally they have to grant you access to it. This is my understanding of it anyway.
weirdoku
Was it actually sealed?? I never buy a pc game unless it's sealed, especailly for the ones that needs the key for you to play online. If it was sealed that i don't see how someone else managed to use the key. How much will buying the new cost you? Hope it's not as much as the game, otherwise I would just buy another copy!
Revolver
A mate's had such a thing happen to him before. I think it's because someone else came across your serial with a keygen. My mate solved it by using a keygen, lol. Different game, mind.
