shrub
Thanks fella any advice on what components I have upto £1300 to spend and want to get it right first time!
Duncy H
The rockman switch is a streety type frame (more spinny bmx orientated moves but yet still up for typical trials moves) ans the zoo is more of a tgs style frame. If you are wanting to do similar style moves/riding to moto trials then the zoo would likely be your best bet. As for what build, i guess with that money you are buying new and thee shop to go is tartybikes. If you give them a phonecall they will give you great advice on what components suit you or your budget They are a really helpful bunch of folk. Luke Rainbird
The two frames are extremely different, so it's not really fair to compare them as such without telling us what style of riding you will be doing and a bit about yourself (size/ability etc) Have you been able to get to a ride and have a play on any other bikes at all? Well worth doing before you pump a fat wedge of cash into a new toy

Well worth doing before you pump a fat wedge of cash into a new toy Hi I currently ride the C route and will be going up to the B very shortly in motorcycle trials! I am 13.4 stone 5.9 tall, Im getting the bike to allow me to practice during the week and to help with fitness as I find running sooooooooo boring. I have not managed to play on a 26" trials bike but I can chuck my mountian bike up steps and enjoy drop offs. I have lots of rocks and woodsections I can ride locally as well as good street and skate parks. If you can give me a further advice that would be great. Thanks for everyones feedback so far

shrub
hmm, pretty much the opposite to what I would have said. Ali Thanks for your commment fella. So you think the switch would ride more like my Beta, to be honest thats what I thought when I first looked at the geo of the frame. I think Ill have a good chat with Stan about it monday morning and get my order in, otherwise I could end up on here the rest of my life talking about it and not riding lol Confused.com Thanks everyone keep the comments coming if you can its good to see everyones angle on this. Cheers Gareth
Ali C
yeah, well my thought is that with the motorbike, you would be used to rolling stuff, having your feet quite low and would want a bike to not be too extreme. The Rockman is a bit shorter, so the riding position would feel closer to the Beta (especially once you try different bar and stems) it has a low bb so will feel very stable and good for rolling, it will also pull up to bunnyhop and manual slightly easier too, again something you may like after riding the Beta. Ali That is really helpful dude! It sounds like the sort of riding style I have Stan is going to kill me lol Im being so indecive. I just want to get it right and not waste money. I used to ride a BMX years ago 24yrs infact but I would imagine the Rockman would be simalar to that style of riding too. Easier to pull 180 up the local skate park and have some fun on the half pipe as well as more tradional trials sections. Shall I say to Stan you have given me some advice? I dont want to drop you in it. Cheers Gareth
