TROYston
Do you mean cork?
Revolver
Do you mean cork? It's also known as grip tape or bar tape. I've never used any myself, but it seems like it might work if it's stuck to the bars well.
Luke Rainbird
Fair few riders run it and love it to bits. Give it a shot and see if it works for you
aener
I tried cotton tape for a bit. Quite nice, but ended up too skinny and I kept getting badly timed hand-cramps If you can get it on the right thickness for your preference, there's no reason why not. Just another option to the foam/rubber argument.
mods
Just got back from a ride, bought some 'cork' on the way home. It went on a treat, my mates has gone really thin so i went quite thick with it and wrapped a few layers of insulation tape around the bar first. Only downside is i wont be able to get my maggie lever off without doing it again. I would go try it but the weather is shocking and i'm finished for the day.
