tobbiiee
How damaged is the rest of the frame?? That chainstay looks pretty clean. Did you see the cracks before it completely died? I noticed the cracks before it died completely, but it went very quickly. It died completely the day after I noticed that the cracks were there: / and the rest of the frame was in good health Edited August 20, 2010 by tobbiiee
Matt Vandart
That is a real pisser, wasn't there a thread the other day saying Echo lites shatter to pieces?
AdamR28
Echo lites shatter to pieces? I love it when that happens, someone breaks something and suddenly it's a terrible product Where did you get the frame from? That should be warranty-able I think, looks in decent nick. AdamR28
Ok cool - if you could email those details over with the photos that would be great please. Also a couple of photos of the underneath of the frame (downtube and chainstays) and we'll see what Echo say Adam

I wasn't saying it's a terrible product dude, I was just referring to the earlier thread in which someone said they shatter to pieces. Commenting on the coincidence I suppose. Matt Vandart
Woah Woah The Zoo Lynx is way better than an Echo Im a fan of Echo parts but not frames for some reason. Ive had My zoo lynx for some time now and if your just like starting trials a bit then get the Zoo Lynx If your a rider that likes to try big stuff but fail then the echo will just shatter to bits Zoo Lynx is the way forward man Echo are the Past ZOO BIKES ARE THE FUTURE!!! Zoo Lynxs are lighter too Picture of my bike below Here you go. Mark I seeeeee yooooooooooo. Not slagging echo at all, I got a control and rate echo's just pointing out the coincidence. Matt Vandart
...not quite. We've sold a lot of Lite frames and haven't had one back broken yet. Gav who works here has been riding a long dual disc Lite for a fair while now and hasn't had any problems either. They're made of the same material as the Lynx and share the same geometry and price - they're very similar frames. I'd imagine the Lynx would be slightly stronger, but the Lite isn't going to 'shatter'... Indeed to bits, Image not working by the way. modifiedridah2k9
Weird i thought echo's were quite strong and I have never even heard of any snapping... How did it snap if you know? I have a tiny dent underneath my chainstay protector, will that crack if i hit it too hard? its about 0.4cm wide and like 1mm deep... Sorry for clogging your thread

modifiedridah2k9
Photo? Its probably not even see-able in a photo, i think it will be fine anyways.
mods
I'm only just over 9st and dont do 'massive' moves so not to worried about mine breaking. I do however notice the flex in the frame, it's a shame because it rides so nicely. I wouldnt have another one
